FAMCO completes world class project for Al-Futtaim Motors

The 55,000 sq ft state-of-the-art PDC, located at Dubai Investment Park, contains two warehouses including a specialist tyre storage facility. The project included the installation of 31,159 shelves with a total of 27,505 sq m (enough to cover over 4 football pitches) and a total lineal length of 54kms.

There are two areas of storage in the main warehouse - an over rack platform with U90 Dexion Long Span Shelving for the storage of small parts and the remainder of the warehouse is racked out with Dexion P90 Pallet Racking along with accessories to store a wide and varied range of large parts from body panels to windshields. The racking and shelving solution will be used for storage of 70,000 products.

There were over 90,000 shelf clips, 11,500 floor fixings and 221,500 nuts and bolts used in this project. The upright section included 12,546 pieces in total with a lineal length of 37.8kms. The P90 pallet racking section included a total of 23,404 beams of various lengths with total lineal length of 76kms.
