Driverless trains tested

Dubai Metro will test driverless trains from mid-May, according to a Gulf News report. Residents will be able to see the trains undergoing preliminary tests and passengerless runs on a 3.5km section of track between the Jebel Ali industrial area and the Mall of the Emirates.The $4.2bn project is scheduled to begin in September 2009.
