More than 150 of DHCC employees, customers and visitors queued up to donate blood of which 60% will benefit Thalassemia patients, while the rest will be reserved for the Trauma Centre that requires a daily volume of 150 bags of 450 cc each.
The campaign was organized by DHCC to assist the Blood Donation Centre, which had indicated a severe shortage of blood and blood product supplies.
Donating blood is considered healthy, for its benefits of reducing the incidence of heart diseases in certain people, while enhancing the production of new blood cells.
