Rezidor bolsters UAE management team

An Egyptian national, El-Menshawy has been with Rezidor, of the world's fastest growing hotel companies, for the last three years where she held the roles of Sales Manger -Corporate and Director of Sales - Corporate. During her tenure, she oversaw all the group's Middle East corporate sales activities including room sales, MICE sales and all other related areas of revenue growth.

In her new role, El-Menshawy will be responsible for all pre-launch and ongoing sales, promotional, pricing and marketing activities for the complex, which will be in the heart of Dubai Marina - the world's largest man-made marina.

The Radisson SAS Residence, Dubai Marina, which is owned by Kuwaiti real estate developer Abyaar, is the first foray for the group into the residential sector and is the fourth Radisson property in the UAE.

Boasting 152 luxury apartments including 22 studios and 130 one and two bedroom suites, the property is ideally located next to the emirate's two main business hubs, Media City and Internet City.

The 20 floor residence has been designed by award-winning architects KEO International, which is behind some of the region's most prestigious hospitality and mixed-use developments including: The Pearl - Qatar, the US $2.5 billion island being reclaimed offshore Doha and Abu Dhabi's seven-star
Emirates Palace Hotel.

The interiors of the residence have been conceptualised by Milan's Matteo Nunziati, who is behind some of the most luxurious hotels in Italy and Switzerland.

'Radisson continues to set the benchmark regionally and the development of this residential property is another first, both in terms of design and concept. The main feature of this residence is five-star service all year round,' said El-Menshawy.

'By offering longer lease options, we are opening up a new market segment for Radisson as we target medium-stay business travellers as well as families looking to stay long-term who appreciate class and quality.'

The Residence offers a variety of services to guests, including 24 hour reception and concierge, butler and valet service, daily apartment cleaning, 24-hours on-call maintenance and baby-sitting. It will also host of leisure and security value-added facilities, including separate gymnasiums and swimming pools for men and women, children's play area, free high-speed internet access, express laundry service upon request, dedicated underground parking and round-the-clock security.
