The 14th Foundation Course for Dubai Customs inspectors opens

Dubai Police Academy witnessed the opening of the Fourteenth Foundation Course for Dubai Customs inspectors, which aims to upgrade their skills and abilities, in order to enhance their role in controlling the land ports, airports and seaports of Dubai.

This course comes as part of the ongoing training programs, which include a series of foundation, refreshing and advanced courses, periodically organized by Dubai Customs for its inspectors.

This course is organized as Dubai Customs is very keen to provide better human and technical resources, in order to achieve its vision to be one of the leading and most prominent customs administrations in the world. It also comes at a time Dubai Customs continue in achieving major successes in foiling smuggling attempts of drugs and prohibited substances such as counterfeit and pirated goods.

Feryal Tawakul, HR Executive Director in Dubai Customs said during the opening ceremony of the Foundation Course: "The launch of the Fourteenth Foundation Course for customs inspectors today, which will last for three months and see the participation of 60 inspectors for the first time, reflects a bright picture of the developed and strong relationship between Dubai Customs and Dubai Police, and emphasizes the importance to further enhance it."
