The lecture was delivered by Ms. Alyaa Al Banaali, a nursing student at Sharjah University, at the Al Manar school and attended by the school's management, a group of 55 school nurses and other providers of student healthcare.

Ms. Banaali spoke about spinal diseases and deformation, providing the audience with information on the symptoms and diagnoses of such ailments among school children, and highlighted the importance of healthy posture to the prevention and treatment of spinal problems. The audience was highly responsive and asked questions regarding the treatment of spinal irregularities in school children.

Dr. Omar Al Mushaabi, Managing Director of SNASCO and Development Manager of the SIC, said, 'SNASCO is committed to maintaining mutually beneficial relations with the local community through active involvement in all activities and events that support the local society. We at SNASCO aim to contribute to the welfare of our society through our projects - particularly the Sharjah Investment Center - which will be an integrated community that includes all the amenities required for contemporary life. We are particularly interested in health and educational issues, and have therefore allocated substantial portions of the available space in the SIC to the establishment of clinics and medical centres in close proximity to schools - an approach that reflects our belief that raising healthy, educated people is the core element to building a healthy society'.

In conclusion, Al Mushaabi re-affirmed SNASCO's commitment to supporting all the social betterment activities, particularly in Sharjah, saying that the aim of the firm's involvement in these initiatives is to serve the members of society and to contribute to the development of healthy lifestyles for all.
