Two officials promoted at Dubai Municipality

Hussain Nasser Lootah, Acting Director General of Dubai Municipality, has issued two decisions transferring and promoting two officials of the civic body, as part of the ongoing restructuring of the Municipality's organisational structure.

Khalid AbduRahim will be the new Director of Customer Relations Department while Ahmed Ali Al Shehhi will lead the Partnership Department that comes under the International Affairs and Partnership Sector.

AbduRahim, who was promoted to Grade 15 of the Fourth Category defined by Dubai Government's new HR Law, joined Dubai Municipality in 1995 as a telecommunications engineer, and was promoted in 1998 to the post of Head of the Communications Unit before being appointed as Head of the Customer Service Section at the Municipality Centres Department in 2002.

A graduate of Britain's Bradford College, AbduRahim has been holding the position of the Assistant Director of the Municipality Centres Department since 2005.

Ahmed Al Shehhi is an MBA graduate from the Arab Science and Technology Academy, Alexandria, Egypt, and was the Head of Operations and Business Processes Section.
