GOIC sign MoU with MECON Ltd

GOIC is a knowledge hub and industrial investment promotion catalyst, for the purpose of industrial diversification and development within the GCC countries through a complete set of specialized research, information, consultancy, training and technical services.

GOIC also provides solutions and recommendations that support the business operation through: developing a better product and market selection and positioning including market research, elaborating advanced techniques on Energy Conservation and Waste Management; Improving Productivity and Protecting the Environment. Pre-feasibility and Feasibility Studies for identified projects, etc.

MECON LIMITED is a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU)of Government of India having vast experience in the field of Iron & Steel, Non-Ferrous metallurgical plants, coal and chemical plants, refractory plants, power plants, general engineering industries, Oil & Gas & Petrochemical Industries, environmental engineering, mining and mineral, etc.

The company provides services for Market Survey, Preparation of Pre-feasibility report, detailed project report, design, engineering and consultancy services including supervision of construction, erection and commissioning. It also undertakes environmental monitoring, preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment/Environmental Management Plant (EIA/EMP) report, load & stability analysis and other electrical system studies, asset evaluation, energy audit and management, third party inspection & expediting services etc.

Both the organizations i.e. GOIC & MECON have agreed to enter into the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work together for providing continuing collaboration opportunities in the Gulf region.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) provides broad framework for cooperation between the two organizations that will be mutually beneficial.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Dr. Ahmed Khalil Al-Mutawa, The Secretary General for and on behalf of Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting and Mr. Drona Rath, Chairman-cum-Managing Director for and on behalf of MECON LIMITED at Mumbai, India on 27th April, 2008.
