Zahid-Renault wins the First Middle-East COTECH challenge
- Saudi Arabia: Wednesday, April 30 - 2008 at 13:58
- PRESS RELEASE
Ahmed Al-Dosoky, Workshop Controller from Riyadh branch of Zahid Tractor, the exclusive importer of Renault in Saudi Arabia, won the first Middle-East COTECH challenge and won a prized spot in the Renault F1 pit stop team.
Only Renault dealerships have registered factory technicians (COTECHS), who are continually trained by Renault's overseas service division to perform all factory recommended servicing and repair operations on its vehicles.
The COTECH Challenge held in February consisted of weekly rounds of questions to test the technical, administrative and systems knowledge and skills of the contestants.
COTECHS use specialized Renault service tools such as "Clip", the company's latest diagnostic tool that also allows for reprogramming vehicle computer systems to suit specific driver needs in electronic fuel injection, proactive automatic transmission, electronic ABS, electronic immobilizer, and security features.
"We are really proud of Ahmed, he proved himself among his colleagues from Renault dealers across the Middle East and made all proud being the first Arab to be in Renault F1 pit stop team" said Yousuf Khaja, Renault Franchise Manager at Zahid.
"This award is indeed a proud moment for the Renault Zahid team and further reinforce our belief that investment in people is a key to our growth through increased customer satisfaction and building service excellence" added Alain Sykora, Director Automotive Division, Zahid Tractor.
