The program is part of the leading developer's partnership with DMC, and aims to enhance the students' engineering knowledge and skills via exposure to state-of-the-art aviation technologies.
A total of 24 graduating aviation majors, accompanied by their instructors Majid Irbaye and Dale Grelck, will be travelling to Europe from June 15 to 25, 2008.
During their week-long stay in Germany, the students will visit Lufthansa's aircraft maintenance facilities and technical training centre.
School administrators and instructors have expressed their optimism that the students will take with them a valuable cache of knowledge that will maximise their learning experience in the university.
The students will also go on a tour of the Airbus factory in Hamburg and attend an aviation expo, which are expected to provide them first-hand exposure to the processes involved in building the world's most up-to-date aircrafts and establish useful networks among leaders in the aviation industry.
'Education is a key catalyst that drives the growth and development of nations,' said Eng. Abdullah Atatreh, Chairman, Bonyan International Investments Group. 'At Bonyan, we firmly believe that we have a responsibility to provide ample opportunities to groom UAE youth's talent. This sponsorship will provide necessary support for deserving students to pursue a world class hands-on educational opportunity. We are proud to be associated with such an initiative that will train and develop the next generation of leaders in the country'.
'This educational trip will present a perfect opportunity for the 24 representatives to develop a wider view of the aviation sector and the massive processes being undertaken within this multi-billion dollar industry. The benefits of this exciting activity will also reach the entire student community and faculty, who will be getting a first hand account from the participating students regarding their whole experience. We would like to extend our gratitude to Bonyan International Investments Group for their fervent support for Dubai Men's College through out-of-the-country activities such as this one,'
said Dr. Philip Hicks, College Director, DMC.
The generous sponsorship is part of the developer's corporate philosophy that identifies reinforcing young nationals' practical experiences prior to graduation as among its social responsibilities.
Taking its partnership with DMC a notch further, Bonyan has also announced plans to develop a unique internship program with the leading academic institution that will cover more diverse scholastic disciplines.
The developer's widespread involvement with the education sector is in line with its ethos as a key contributor in the local property arena and a strong proponent excellence, as evident in its developments of high quality and lasting economic value.
With a clear objective to become one of the top five developers across the region, Bonyan has pioneered one of the first towers for long-term lease in Sharjah and was responsible for building a number of luxury residential and high profile commercial developments in the UAE, Qatar and Lebanon.
To date, Bonyan has successfully delivered a wide range of properties across the region, including Rose Tower and LLulu Tower, and is currently undertaking eight regional projects, which will be launched soon.
