First wagamama opens in North Africa

wagamama, the award-winning Asian inspired noodle restaurant; today announced the recent opening of its first venue in Egypt.

This marks the fourth wagamama opening in the Middle East and North Africa for operator Rmal Hospitality.

The company's expansion plans will see more than 15 outlets open across the MENA region over the next five years.

"The Cairo opening is a major milestone in our growing hospitality portfolio and marks the first of many projects that will target the North African region. Another coup for Rmal Hospitality was the results of UK-based 'Mystery Dining Company' who invited unknown diners around the world to review wagamama outlets.

wagamama in the Greens, Dubai came in at first place scoring 94% with wagamama Al Fattan, Dubai coming a close third with 93%.

"The achievement of our North African restaurant opening and the first and third place wins of our Dubai outlets demonstrate not only that wagamama food is world-class, but that the market is very responsive to these sorts of venues that provide excellent food, service and style," said Stephen Banks, Director of Sales and Marketing, Rmal Hospitality.

Wagamama Cairo is open from 11am to 12 midnight, seats more than 155 dinners and offers fresh and nutritious food in a sleek yet simple setting with helpful, friendly service.
