CBD strikes 'Gold' at the Dubai Quality Awards

The award was presented by H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai to Peter Baltussen, Chief Executive Officer and Yaqoob Yousuf Hassan, Deputy Chief Executive of CBD, at a glittering ceremony held at Grand Hyatt in Dubai yesterday.

Commenting on winning the DQA - Gold Award, H.E. Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer, Chairman of CBD, said, "We thank the Government of Dubai for recognizing our extraordinary efforts to serve the society, which in turn contributes to the overall development of the Emirate. This award is amongst the highest honour for any organisation in the field of business excellence, presented to organizations which are industry benchmarks and where improvement is a way of life in all aspects of business including continued contribution to the society."

H.E. Al Tayer added: "CBD believes that there is no finish line in quality and service excellence. Hence, we will endeavor to explore new frontiers and attain greater heights in the coming years."

Since its earlier win of the Dubai Quality Award in 2002, CBD has demonstrated measurable effectiveness, benchmarking with the best in class, sustainable improvements, and innovation in people management and customer centric processes, which distinguished it from other organizations.
