EMC previews Mercedes-Benz SL

EMC hosts Mercedes-Benz SL Sneak Preview limited to SL customers and VVIPs at the EMC Marina Mall Showroom in Abu Dhabi on 29 April 2008.
"Our aim is to give our Mercedes-Benz SL customers the sensation of being the first in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain to examine the new features of the face-lifted 2009 SL and learn more about this legendary roadster," commented Mr. Monzer Al Rifai, General Manager of EMC.
EMC invited Mr. Emil Kneisser, host of the infamous Motor X program broadcasting weekly on Abu Dhabi Television, as the guest speaker to present the new, face-lifted Mercedes-Benz SL alongside its predecessor.
Also attending the private event is Mr. Rashed Abdul Jalil Al Fahim, Managing Director of Al Fahim Group and from Daimler Middle East & Levant (DMEL), Mr. Nicholas Speeks, CEO, Mr. Frank, Director of Sales & Marketing, Mr. Chris Vallance, Regional Sales Manager and Mr. Ashraf Tamim, Marketing Manager.
The new Mercedes-Benz SL design emphasizes on sportiness and effortless superiority. The SL 350 is powered by a newly developed, highly responsive sports engine boasting an impressive output of 232kw/316hp yet returns a fuel consumption figure that is 0.4 liters per 100 kilometers lower than the previous one. The SL range will now feature two six-cylinder models in the shape of the SL 350 and the new SL 280 as well as the familiar SL 500 with a V8 engine and the top-of-the-range SL 600 with a V12 powerplant. Also on display at the EMC SL Sneak Preview was the new AMG SL 63 and SL vintage range collection for SL enthusiasts to explore its evolution.
