As part of its strategy of adopting the American Clinical and Business systems and providing the highest US standards of healthcare to the community, AHD is implementing a new healthcare information system across all the hospital's departments to ensure high and consistent standards of services for patients.

HP has partnered with AHD in its new information system through its comprehensive portfolio of solutions and services for the healthcare industry, which included, but not limited to, storage and Blade servers.

"The HP and AHD partnership spans over four years, during which HP has offered AHD all the services and support it needed to deliver to its patients a high level of services", said Nadeem Ahmead, Channel Manager, HP Middle East. He added, "Through our comprehensive portfolio of hardware, software and services, we assist AHD in developing its integrated digital healthcare technology system, to ensure patients get the best possible care".

"AHD is implementing its new information system (Clinical, departmental and business) that would reduce the need for human intervention, thus reducing the percentage of errors and ensuring consistency in delivering a portfolio of high quality services. All these applications are being implemented on HP platform,"

Rajan Chadha, Group Director-IT at the American Hospital Dubai.

He added, "As part of our commitment to the Dubai community, we aim to change the patients' experience at the hospital through creating a new standard of services similar to that in the US healthcare system."

To ensure HP solutions and services are implemented effectively, HP has provided AHD staff training on how to make the optimum use of the infrastructure provided and with SLA's to guarantee the highest possible uptime.
