COMEX 2008 showcases IT School by Microsoft's most valuable professional - Tariq Al Barwani

Oman's largest and much awaited IT, Telecom and Technology event - COMEX 2008 is showcasing a daily IT School presented by Microsoft's Most Valuable Professional - Mr. Tariq Al Barwani.
COMEX is organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Transport and Communications and the Information Technology Authority and supported by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority. Organized by the Oman International Trade & Exhibitions (OITE), the 18th edition of COMEX has two sections, COMEX Business from 28th April to 1st May and COMEX from 28th April - 2nd May at the Oman International Exhibition Centre.
Organized on the sidelines of COMEX 2008, the "IT School with Tariq Al Barwani", from 28th April commenced with the Corporate Tech Day, focusing on IT & Business, how these two functions relate and how IT adds value to Business. Tariq enlightened aspiring IT professionals on the different roles available in IT and on how to make the switch to IT at his second session on day two of the event. A special session is being held for retired and elderly individuals on how IT influences and drives our lives today from 7pm to 9pm. The last session will be dedicated for school, college & university students on courses and subjects to select & concentrate on for a future in IT. The IT School is ideal for students, businessmen as well as corporates to gather quality information on Information Technology shared by Tariq Al Barwani", who has made an impact in the field.
Mr. Atif Khan, Manager - Exhibitions at OITE reiterated, "We believe in adding value to our event each year and apart from the daily IT school presented by Tariq Al Barwani, we will also host an ITU workshop on the sidelines of COMEX. New product launches, interactive demonstrations, in addition to a wide showcase of ICT products will create a one of its kind environment for visitors to keep up to date and source new products and services."
Access to the COMEX BUSINESS Section is by registration and interested visitors should carry their business cards or fill up the registration form at the counter. The Business Section of the event will be open from 10 am to 1 pm and 5 pm to 9.30 pm. COMEX SHOPPER is exclusively for special promotions and offers on hardware, software, mobile phones, games and computer accessories. The Shopper section will be open from 10 am to 10 pm on all days except on Friday, open only in the evening from 4.30 pm to 10 pm.
