DTCM bags two awards at Kazakhstan tourism fair

The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has won two awards for the Best Stand Design and Best Creative Stand at the Kazakhstan International Tourism and Travel Fair (KITF-2008).
The awards were received by Ali Abdul Wahab, Senior Executive Overseas Promotions from Ms. Karine Sogomonyan, Senior Project and Sales Manager of ITE Group Plc.
Like the previous one, the 8th edition of KITF was also held in Almaty from April 24 to 26. KITF is considered an excellent tool for promotion of National tourism products by the exhibitors and visitors of previous year show.
With the increase in the co-participants the stand area has also been raised considerably this year. Dubai Stand, put up by the department, measured 161.5 square metre and had 24 co-participants from the emirate's booming tourism industry, including hotels and tour operators.
The Vice Minister of Tourism of Kazakhstan, Mr. Rashid Musin visited the Dubai Stand and appreciated the display, design and innovation.
