The visit lasted over five hours during which Major General Al Marri inspected the internal work procedures, speed in the processing time as well as the cleanliness of offices and the conditions of machines and equipment.
'Through the ongoing visits, we are trying to closely observe the department's operations and evaluate our current position and future improvement prospects,' Major-General Al Marri said.
The visit also covered the Investigation Department, Arrivals and Departures sections, the Electronic Laboratory for checking passports and travel documents at the Personal Status Bureau, the Archiving Office (files & data), the Eye Scanning machine, the Electronic Gate and the expansion process at the Terminal 2 of the airport.
The inspection visit comes in line with a series of visits that Major-General Mohammad Al Marri and his team are planning this year.
DNRD employees at DIA praised for their efforts
In line with the Dubai Naturalization and Residency Department's plan to monitor closely the work process at all its departments, Major-General Mohammad Ahmad Al Marri, Director of DNRD, visited the passport department at the Dubai International Airport.
