Bank Audi offers 132 scholarships to La Sagesse students within the "Mérite Blé Vert" partnership

La Sagesse schools and Bank Audi celebrated their sixth annual "Mérite Blé Vert" event, on the occasion of which distinguished La Sagesse students received scholarships from Audi Saradar Group for the year 2007-2008, in conformity with the partnership binding both institutions.
Were present Archbishop Boulos Matar, Mr. Raymond Audi, Chairman and General Manager of Bank Audi sal - Audi Saradar Group, and the principals of La Sagesse schools in Beirut, Brasilia, Jdeideh, Ain Saadeh, Clémenceau, Ain El Remmaneh and La Sagesse Technique, Fathers Boulos Abdel Sater, Issam Ibrahim, Georges Chehwane, Gabriel Tabet, Antoine Assaf, Georges Fares, Pierre Chemali, as well as a number of other clergymen. Several managers were also present from Bank Audi and Libano Arabe Insurance, as well as the students' parents.
After the national anthem, a slide show presenting the activities of La Sagesse students was displayed, followed by various performances by the students.
Mr. Audi then delivered his speech, in which he praised La Sagesse schools and Archbishop Matar for their educational policy which gives full priority to moral standards and rewards students' creative and artistic skills.
Audi added that Bank Audi "shares La Sagesse's vision and strives to meet its hopes which aim at offering students the best academic background and providing both students and teachers with the best level of social welfare".
He concluded by congratulating the students, wishing them every success in their journey.
As for Archbishop Matar, he stated: "When we were watching and listening to the achievements of our young students who remind us of the green wheat which will turn golden, I felt proud and full of hope in Lebanon. A country which offers such children will remain a dear country as time passes by".
The Archbishop then commended Mr. Audi, describing him as "a beacon of hope for Lebanon and its future", and claiming that "he represents the ambitious Lebanon, the trust in Lebanon, and a number of values such as humaneness, patriotism, spirituality, culture and civilisation".
Mr. Audi then distributed the "Mérite Blé Vert" scholarships to 132 distinguished students, after which everyone was invited to a cocktail reception on the premises.
