- Saudi Arabia: Sunday, May 04 - 2008 at 15:47
- PRESS RELEASE
Pepsi Max is conducting a hype drive across the GCC with a huge sampling campaign targeting youth at the places where they congregate, including universities, billiard halls, internet cafes and areas outside shopping malls.
"Pepsi Max is a great drink with a great taste and we want more people to try it". said Dana Khoury, Marketing Manager, Colas - GCC markets "It's a no sugar beverage with maximum Pepsi taste that has a lot of cool appeal for teenagers and by popularizing the sampling with fun activities such as competitions and attractive prizes we are sure to attract a lot of attention".
The competitions include guessing the number of Pepsi Max cans in the trunk of a Mini-Cooper car, a driving contest to break a set time record, a parking competition, and repeating a complex Pepsi Max sentence ten times without a fault.
The youth-oriented prizes include mobile phones, wrist watches and a chance to win other exciting prizes.
To add an aspirational twist to this drive, it will be linked back to a supporting advertising campaign, a television commercial that is centered on the concept "Things to do before 30" such as "Be the Boss", "Become Famous'' and 'Drive a Sports Car".
The month-long Pepsi Max sampling campaign is being held during weekends and is scheduled to end in May 2008.
