- PRESS RELEASE
Bayt.com revealed today an emerging trend in the methods that employers are using to recruit new staff, with over 33% of polled employers indicating that regional expertise was the most important factor for them in selecting an online job site
The announcement of the figures follows from Bayt.com's recent participation at the GETEX exhibition, where the online recruitment leader recognised the tremendous inroads online recruitment has made in the Middle East region - with most of today's jobseekers cognisant of the importance of having their updated CVs on leading region-specific job sites like Bayt.com, which is geared to the unique human capital resourcing requirements of the Middle East region's job market.
Of the over five hundred visitors that approached the Bayt.com stand, around 60% were already registered on the job site; either as passive jobseekers interested in staying abreast of key market opportunities and trends, or as active jobseekers interested in securing a new position immediately or within a period of up to three months. Numerous visitors had secured their last job through Bayt.com and several indicated they had sourced more than one job through the Middle East's #1 job site and were now looking to recruit their own teams through Bayt.com.
"GETEX is as an essential forum for Bayt.com to help promote and secure employment in the Middle East, by providing the fastest, easiest and most effective means for jobseekers to find top jobs, and for employers to find top talent," commented Bayt.com's CEO, Rabea Ataya. "GETEX allows us to reach out to jobseekers and inform them not only of the specific benefits but also of the importance of online recruitment as an indispensable tool in the recruiting arsenal of today's top hiring managers, which has been reinforced by our recent research and poll results."
Bayt.com, which participated at GETEX for the first time, offered jobseekers CV advice through a Bayt.com team of veteran CV service professionals, who have accumulated years of experience in drafting executive CVs and consulting on CV writing skills. The Bayt.com team were also on hand to offer jobseekers tutorials on how to make online recruitment work for them best, giving advice on the most effective job search strategies and offering interviewing, cover-letter writing and follow-up tips.
Furthermore, employers that visited the Bayt.com stand were offered free online tutorials for using Bayt.com's industry-leading search technology, including the pioneering 'InstantMatch', which sources top talent from around the region and the globe, and matches it to a company's unique vacancy in record time.
"Events such as GETEX also provide us with an ideal forum to share with jobseekers and employers, key trends and data on the recruitment market, while giving us an opportunity to analyze their needs and requirements so we can further develop our services to meet them. Looking forward, all trends indicate that online recruitment is poised to play an ever increasing role in the way that companies recruit their staff, and by remaining aware of the type of services that both employers and jobseekers need, we can continue to provide the industry's leading technologies and ensure on-line recruitment is a streamlined, simple, intuitive and ultra-effective process," concluded Ataya.
