Amadeus to highlight new GDS solutions at ATM 2008

Reinforcing its commitments to the region's travel industry Amadeus, a global leader in technology and distribution solutions for the travel and tourism industry, today announced that it will have a major presence at the Arabian Travel Market 2008.

Situated in TT310 in the technology section at ATM, Amadeus will roll out an array of products and solutions designed for the travel agencies, airlines and hotel industry. ATM visitor will be able to see live demos and gain information on these solutions at the Amadeus stand.

In the Middle East Amadeus System is used by close to 3,900 travel agency locations and is installed on more than 9,800 travel agency terminals. Leading airlines in the Arab countries who have selected the full suite of Amadeus Altéa Customer Management Solution or are using the sales and reservation component as their own internal sales system include Egypt Air, Etihad Airways, Middle East Airlines, Royal Air Maroc, Qatar Airways and Tunisair.

Amadeus, the world's largest distribution system with over 360,500 points of sales in over 217 markets, generated 537.9m million bookings in 2007 which equates to €51.91bn of revenue for airlines through the travel agency channel.

Amadeus is also playing a leading role in helping airlines meet IATA's e-ticket deadline by the end of May 2008. Amadeus, as the world leader in e-ticket distribution and technology, has to date enabled e-ticketing for 268 airlines across 154 markets. These figures exceed those of any other single supplier.
