Ras Al Khaimah, one of the scenic emirates in the UAE combines the sea, desert, rugged mountains and beautiful beaches. It is known for its peaceful atmosphere, top-class hotels and resorts, scenic golf courses, luxurious spa treatments and natural hot water springs that yield a therapeutic effect. The emirate offers a bounty of natural attractions for leisure, health, adventure and sport tourism.
'The launch of Net Tours Ras Al Khaimah is particularly significant in the light of the new developments in the UAE tourism scenario,' said Mr. Ali Abu Monassar, Executive Chairman, Net Group.
'Our tourism expertise gained over nearly two decades and the active involvement of Ras Al Khaimah and the support of His Highness Sheikh. Ahmed Bin Saqr Al Qassimi will help Net Tours Ras Al Khaimah to achieve its goal of establishing a well-structured tourism service,' Mr. Ali remarked. An official announcement would be made during the Net Group press conference scheduled for May 7, the second day of the Arabian Travel Market.
Ras Al Khaimah has plans in place to attract leisure and industrial sector investment of Dh50bn to quadruple the number of visitors by 2010 to 100,000 according to recent reports. Hotels in Ras Al Khaimah reported a high occupancy rate during 2007, yet the Emirate is spared from the hustle and bustle of a business hub.
Ras Al Khaimah has turned a new leaf since the establishment of the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Board and the official RAK Airways encouraged by the vision of His Highness Sheikh. Saud Bin Saqr Al Qassimi - Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.
Situated to the north of the United Arab Emirates, RAK is easily accessible from Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Oman and Saudi Arabia.

Tourism in the United Arab Emirates will see a new phase beginning with the launch of Net Tours Ras Al Kahimah during the Arabian Travel Market 2008, taking place from May 6 to 9 at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre.
