City 7 TV will be the official and main media sponsors for this prestigious award ceremony to be held on May 8th 2008, at the Al Bustan Rotana Hotel, Dubai, under the official sponsorship of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development of the United Arab Emirates.

"The UAE in recent times has developed into the backbone of the hospitality industry therefore the location of this congregation has, by unanimous choice, always been Dubai. The hospitability industry is critical to the growth of the region, bringing in vital foreign exchange as well as awareness of the region's unique tourist and business destinations. These awards applaud the excellence in performance for the hospitality industry across the region and therefore form an integral part of City 7's satellite television showcase," says Ron Kapadia, Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer.

As the official media sponsors, City7 TV will be covering the event in its entirety through coverage of the ceremony, special interviews and programmes. Interested viewers can especially look forward to interviews with winners of awards and a special programme on the vibrant tourism sector of the Middle East. This special programme will also telecast interviews with key personalities involved in the MENA Travel Awards, to highlight the essence of the event and to showcase the perspectives of tourism industries in the region.

City 7 TV will also be announcing the event and promoting it on their channel through commercial spots during prime time.

"City 7 TV has been closely associated with the MENA TRAVEL AWARDS in the past and continues to partner with this prominent organization this year as the official media partner for the event. We are glad that our past performances with our associates and business partners keep them coming back to us for more media association," iterates Kapadia.

"Being a Dubai-based, local, English language TV station we have an edge over other regional broadcasters to provide a comprehensive on site coverage for this premium event. I must give due credit here to Mr. Sam Saker, President of The CHA who has worked tirelessly towards bringing this annual event to a world class positioning. As always, we endeavor to bring the best of the region to our viewers," adds Kapadia.

Consequently, City 7 TV will be represented alongside CHA International in all their promotion activities, press conferences and the award ceremony as the main media sponsor for the MENA Travel Awards. Be it on print materials of the event, published advertisements, banners at location or being linked on the official website of MENA Travel Awards - www.menatravelawards.com - it will be a well-rounded strategic partnership.

Commenting on this association, Sam Saker, President of CHA International, says, "Sponsors are vital in making the annual MENA Travel Awards ceremony a prestigious event and we are delighted to have City 7 TV on board as our official media sponsors.
