For the first time in the Middle East, Emirates will take visitors around the world in 30 minutes, thanks to its spectacular stand, the three-storey Emirates Globe, which this year revolves. The Emirates Globe was so successful at the 2007 event that it is returning to this year's event, which runs from May 6-9, in an even more spectacular form.
Mr Simon continued: "This is a truly spectacular stand which rotates through 360 degrees in 30 minutes. Emirates is not restricted by boundaries, whether geographical or creative, and just as we have been able to expand our horizons with new route launches this year, so we have pushed the limits of creativity with this wonderful exhibition stand."
On the outside, the globe will feature graphics from Emirates' new destinations for 2008; Cape Town, Calicut, Guangzhou, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Durban. Visitors will also be able to sample the comforts of flying First Class in the on-site Emirates' Boeing 777 Private Suite.
The stand will house luxury rooms from two of Emirates' conservation resorts; Dubai-based Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa and Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa in Australia, as well as models of Wolgan Valley, Al Maha and The Harbour Hotel & Residence, Dubai.
The Emirates Globe, Hall 3 Stand No., UAE 810, will also contain three reception desks; one with Skywards and reservations staff to assist passengers requiring alterations to their flight plans, one with staff from Emirates Holidays, Arabian Adventures and Congress Solutions International and the third with representatives from Emirates Hotels & Resorts.
Visitors to the stand will be able to find out more information on the following new Emirates' initiatives:
Emirates Holidays
Flexible, affordable and quality holidays to more than 120 stunning leisure destinations in almost 40 countries are showcased in four volumes of the Emirates Holidays' A World of Choice 2008-09 brochures: The Middle East, Africa & Indian Ocean; Europe & The Americas; Asia & Australasia; and Dubai and the Emirates, a dedicated brochure on the UAE. The range also comprises an Arabic language brochure for exclusive distribution in the Middle East and Arabic speaking parts of Africa; a Russian language brochure distributed in Russia; a dedicated brochure for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Iran; and a specific brochure for the Mediterranean.
Emirates Hotels & Resorts
On 1st May, Emirates Hotels & Resorts, the premier hospitality management division of Dubai-based Emirates Airline, marked its debut in luxury serviced accommodation with the opening of the Green Lakes Serviced Apartments - its second city-based property closely following the opening of The Harbour Hotel & Residence in November last year.
Located in the Jumeirah Lake Towers precinct, expected to be one of Dubai's most prestigious addresses when completed, the Green Lakes Serviced Apartments, comprising two luxury apartment towers, is set within a dynamic waterfront community alongside fashionable hotels and leisure and retail outlets.
Arabian Adventures
Arabian Adventures, the leading destination management company in the Middle East is making a visit to Dubai so much more irresistible following its announcement to offer the Vice Versa® reward card to inbound tourists.
Arabian Adventures will now greet each of its guests to Dubai with a Vice Versa® card in their welcome pack along with the 'Vice Versa Premium Guide to Dubai' that details a wide range of recommended attractions, including shopping, fine dining, spa and salon treatments, and other leisure options. Benefits are accrued every time the visitor makes a purchase at any of the partner outlets listed in the guide.
Congress Solutions International
Congress Solutions International (CSI) was the official summit co-ordinator for the 8th Global Travel & Tourism Summit in Dubai last month. The event secured CSI's position as one of the foremost Professional Congress Organisers in the region.
ATM is the region's leading travel and tourism exhibition, drawing key market players from six continents over four days at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The forum, now in its 15th year, includes intensive meetings, seminars, networking opportunities, press conferences and exhibitions for the public, who are invited on the last two days of the exhibition.
Mr Simon added: "Arabian Travel Market continues to go from strength to strength - just as Emirates does. Emirates' ever expanding route network together with the increasing number of destinations and organizations represented by Arabian Travel Market makes this an important partnership in aiding the growth of regional tourism."
