Al Warqa 3 to have Dhs185m drainage and storm-water network

Dubai Municipality is currently undertaking a Dhs185m project to provide comprehensive drainage and storm-water network for Al Warqa 3, a newly-developed residential area in the emirate, said Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Acting Director General of Dubai Municipality.
"This project will provide drainage connections to some 2185 houses in Al Warqa 3 area, which is located between Al Awir Road in South, Al Warqa 1 and 2 in West, Mirdif in North and Al Warqa 4 in East. The total area to be served by the project is 636 hectors. Besides, the storm-water network would have a total capacity of 188,000 cubic meters per day," explained Mr Lootah.
The project has been awarded to a private firm of high reputation in the field of infrastructure development and it will be carried out under the supervision of a prominent consultant.
