The experts at Saudi Auto, one of the premier automotive magazines in the region, praised the Cadillac CTS for its dramatic design, its enhanced levels of power and performance thanks to the introduction of a new engine and transmission, and the highest standards of ride quality, quietness and safety.

'The all-new 2008 Cadillac CTS is spectacular from all angles - from its handcrafted, tailored interior to its dramatic outer skin - making it a deserving winner of our Car of the Year Award for 2008' said Bakur Azher, Publisher & Editor in Chief Saudi Auto Magazine. 'Both the exterior and the interior design elements of the 2008 CTS reflect not only an evolution from the previous-generation model, but serve as forerunners of future Cadillac design features' added Bakur.

'Cadillac is truly honored to receive this coveted award from one of the region's leading automotive authorities,' says Terry Johnsson, President of GM Middle East. 'The CTS being named Car of the Year by Saudi Auto is a very powerful statement to consumers everywhere about Cadillac's product renaissance.'

The second generation CTS sports a coupe-like sculpted exterior, while the cabin has been revisited and represents a different, new design theme for Cadillac interiors. Further reinforcing Cadillac's renaissance, this rear-wheel drive mid-sized saloon benefits from impressive levels of handling and performance thanks to the enhanced suspension, braking and steering and a choice of three engines: two 3.6-litre V6 powerplants, with either port or direct injection, delivering 278hp or 323hp respectively, or a 2.8-litre unit.

The Saudi Auto Car of the Year honor highlights the wide acclaim that the all new 2008 CTS luxury sedan has earned around the world since its launch. Earlier this year the CTS captured three major U.S. awards - the 2008 Motor Trend Car of the Year, the EyesOn Design Award and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's Top Safety Pick award for 2008.
