Dubai Municipality, RTA hold talks to smoothen project implementation

Dubai Municipality and the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) have held talks to enhance cooperation between them in order to smoothen implementation of various projects in the city.

This came in a joint meeting between two, which was attended by Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Acting Director General of Dubai Municipality, Eng. Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman and CEO of RTA, and senior officials of the Municipality and RTA.

The meeting focused on several topics including a comprehensive multi-purpose inspection system, out-door advertisements, maritime transport, service centres for RTA, land-use, and asphalt factories.

During the meeting, the RTA has announced the appointment of Engineer Nasser Bushehab as their coordinator with Dubai Municipality and the Municipality's coordinator with RTA will be Ahmed Al Shuhhi, Director of the Partnership Department at the civic body.

Both government establishments have decided to hold similar meetings in future as well to enhance mutual cooperation in undertaking ambitious projects that serve the emirate.
