ADIPEC, one of the largest international petroleum exhibition and conferences in the world will once again be exhibiting at the UAE pavilion at OTC, ahead of it's 2008 exhibition taking place November 3 - 6 in the UAE's capital, Abu Dhabi. OTC, 5 - 8 May, will see ADIPEC supported by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Al Khazna Insurance, ADTA and GASTECH in a bid to drive footfall to ADIPEC 2008.

OTC will attract over 150 of the UAE's top businessmen from across the energy sector, including top executives from the ADNOC group of companies led by the US Commercial Services (US Embassy, Abu Dhabi). Later in the year ADIPEC 2008 expects to host between 35,000 - 40,000 industry executives who are spearheading the growth and development of the global oil and gas industry. Abu Dhabi offers itself as a modern business destination acting as a gateway between east and west with short flight distances to oil producing Arab countries.

Mr.Abdulla Nasser Al Suweidi, Deputy CEO, ADNOC said: 'Two thirds of the world's known oil reserves are concentrated in the Gulf region and the global demand for oil is rising phenomenally. Indications of this exceptional oil capacity growth in the Middle East have sparked the relocation to the region of international companies.' He continues, 'Abu Dhabi accounts for more than 94% of the UAE's oil output and invests billions of dollars annually in order to sustain the fast pace of growth in oil exploration, production, processing, maintenance and infrastructure development, resulting in huge investments for oil and gas infrastructure across the region.'

Supported by ADNOC (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company), UAE Ministry of Energy and SPE (the Society of Petroleum Engineers) along with many other international institutions and organisations ADIPEC is the only international oil & gas show with representation from major IOCs, NOCs and operating companies. ADIPEC 2006, certified as an exhibition by the US Commercial Service, hosted over 150 US companies from the USA, where their latest technologies were showcased. Demand for exhibition space from the US for ADIPEC 2008 has exceeded expectations, and an extended pavilion space has been taken which is already fully subscribed.

Participating companies at ADIPEC 2008 have already booked all the available space in the indoor exhibition halls, equating to 57,000m2 - this already makes the ADIPEC 2008 Exhibition 80% larger than the last event - with stand space on the concourse and outside still being sold.

ADIPEC 2008 will offer exhibitors and visitors a global presentation of the latest technologies and innovations from the oil & gas industry and will include country pavilion displays from USA, Canada, UK, France, Italy, Germany, The Netherlands, Denmark, Austria, Spain, Russia, China, India, Turkey and Iran.

A hi-tech conference is scheduled to run parallel to the exhibition that will be addressed by leading oil and gas professionals from all over the world. Topics will be finalised by the technical committee, chaired by Mr. Ali Al Jarwan along with the other members from ADNOC, industry experts and the SPE. The theme of the 13th edition titled, 'Working together to deliver sustainable growth: innovative teams and technology deployment' will feature engineers and scientists from the world petroleum industry.
