Daimler to open Baghdad office

Daimler AG, the world's largest truckmaker, plans to open an office in Baghdad by the end of the year because it is confident that situation in Iraq is improving, reported Bloomberg. The company will be establishing a corporate representative office in Baghdad that is not meant to directly generate sales in Iraq initially. Daimler has no forecast for when it might begin to sell cars and trucks in the country.
