Western Region to announce new name at Cityscape Abu Dhabi

The Western Region Development Council (WRDC) -- the central coordinating body leading development and promoting opportunity in Western Region of Abu Dhabi, announced its participation in Cityscape Abu Dhabi 2008.

At Cityscape Abu Dhabi - WRDC will announce the new name for the Western Region and highlight the opportunities available for investors and developers, whilst revealing the true essence and spirit of the region to potential visitors and tourists.

The new identity for Western Region follows extensive market research across the UAE, GCC and internationally, involving not only the local residents but also prospective tourists and investors.

H.E. Mohamed Bin Azzan Al Mazrouei, WRDC Director General, said:

“WRDC is proud to announce its participation at Cityscape, Abu Dhabi. This event is the perfect platform for us to launch the new name for the Western Region and raise awareness about what the region has to offer, in addition to establishing key links with potential investors, developers, key organizations and tourists. The launch is part of our action-oriented strategy to showcase the true essence of the region and its potential to primarily a local and regional audience”.



He added: “WRDC is paving the road to opportunity in the Western Region – quickly, efficiently and with passion. We at WRDC are committed to developing the Western Region into a destination for people to live, visit and work, whilst enjoying a higher quality of life”.

WRDC is pursuing four key goals -- the economic and social development for the benefit of the region’s people, enhancement of infrastructure, promotion of investment and improvement of enterprises.

Cityscape Abu Dhabi 2008, will be held from May 13 to 15 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) and is a unique networking exhibition focusing on all aspects of the property and development cycle.

It attracts top regional and international investors, property developers, leading architects and designers.

The exhibition opens at 10 am and closes at 7 pm each day.
