Silver Air appoints Martin Andrews as Director of Maintenance

Andrews joins Silver Air from RAK Airways where he was Head of Quality & Safety and played a significant role in the initial setup of the company.

The appointment of Andrews further strengthens the team at Silver Air, in support of the company objective to become established as a leading ACMI carrier in the Gulf region.

Andrews is a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with over 28 years experience in the maintenance of commercial aircraft.

His previous employers include RAK Airways, Sunwing Airlines, Sky service Airlines, Qatar Airways and Canada 3000 Airlines, and his experience of working with Boeing aircraft means that he is well equipped to oversee the maintenance of Silver Air's existing fleet of Boeing 737-200 aircraft and the Boeing 737-300's and -400's the company is planning to acquire.

The appointment of Andrews to the role of Director of Maintenance at Silver Air further underlines the company's commitment to become the partner of choice for airlines within the region.

One of his key tasks will be to assume responsibility for all the maintenance activities while working closely with CEO Steffen Harpoth and the team at Silver Air.
