Comprising of a multitude of exciting and exhilarating pursuits to uncover and explore, from land and water activities to wellness and rejuvenation, the luxurious resort provides the perfect backdrop for a well-rounded holiday escape.

“At this year’s ATM our aim to promote Emirates Palaces’ exceptional sports and leisure facilities, as we offer some of the best in the region. It is our pleasure to provide guests with a superb selection so they may truly indulge in the very best recreational pursuits all within the comfortable surrounds of the palace grounds,” said Hans Olbertz, General Manager, Emirates Palace.

With a pristine 1.3 km beach and a calm private bay, water pursuits are a key attraction at Emirates Palace. Guests can dip more than just their toes into the stunning waters of the Arabian Sea; the hotel offers a PADI scuba diving course with a PADI qualified dive instructor, water sports such as snorkeling, waterskiing, wake-boarding, and kayaking.

For guests seeking a little more adrenaline packed action they can take part in the Banana Boat, Donut Slider and Manta Ray attractions, all within the safety of the scenic Emirates Palace bay.

To keep guests fit and toned whilst on vacation the resort’s custom designed fitness suites offer the state-of-the-art ‘Techno Gym’ equipment to assist guests in achieving their goals. There are two fitness suites located on the East and West wing of the hotel.

Alternatively guests can explore the abundant and lavish hotel grounds on some two-wheeled action, with complimentary mountain bikes available to in-house guests, from either the East or West wing Beach Club.

In a bid to attract enthusiasts of the more ‘classical’ sporting categories, the resort has focused its approach on providing premium facilities for tennis, golf and cricket.

Towards the end of 2008, plans will be underway for the hosting of the 2nd Annual Emirates Palace Cricket Festival.

Arriving at Emirates Palace in November 2008, the Lashings World IX, made up of well-known international cricket legends will unveil a very civilized sporting and social occasion, which has already proven a great success in February 2008.

For the golfers, the hotel has joined forces with the Abu Dhabi Golf Course to create the ‘Golfers Delight’ package, inclusive of a two night stay within a Coral room, one round of golf at Abu Dhabi Golf Course, transfers to and from the course, use of the air-conditioned golf carts, access to the driving range, a supply of practice balls and a light lunch.

For those guests who want to hone their back-hand, or enjoy a social game in the grounds, Emirates Palace leisure has a variety for fun and challenging ball sports. Soccer, Tennis, Beach Volleyball, Water polo, Table Tennis and Boule are available for guests to polish their skills or just have a social match with friends.

Expert instruction and coaching packages for tennis players will also be implemented later this year when the Peter Burwash International tennis programs are launched. Guests can select from a series of intensive workshops which range between three and seven days in duration and focus on core skills to improve every element of the game.

From the heights of energizing activities to the tranquility of pure relaxation, Emirates Palaces Anantara Spa is a haven of wellness and rejuvenation that pampers guests with elite and luxurious spa treatments guaranteed to ease away stress and restore pure bliss.

Finally, with two of the most spectacular leisure and relaxation pools in the country, simply soaking up the sun or enjoying aquatic family fun at the Cascades and Las Brisas pools is one of the most popular guest pastimes.

‘Along with the variety of magnificent recreation and leisure activities provided by Emirates Palace, our Concierge team can easy arrange tours, adventures and experiences for guests outside of the hotel.

Activities such as a Desert Safari Adventure, Golf, Tours of the City of Abu Dhabi, Ice Skating at Sheikh Zayed Sport City Skating Rink and the soon to open Snow Skiing at Marina Mall, Horseback riding, Camel racing, Falconry and even sand skiing, the hardest part of your stay will be where to start,’ ended Olbertz.
