Jafza signs MoU with Cedars hospital for visa medical test services

The legal requirement of visa medical tests for employees of all companies operating within Jafza will be exclusively managed by Cedars Jebel Ali International Hospital under an MOU signed between the two.

The MOU was signed by Ms. Fatma Mohammed Salem, Executive Vice President, Operations Department, Jafza and Dr. Adnan Kaddaha, Chairman of Cedars.

Under the agreement, Cedars will be conducting blood tests and x-rays for new residence visa applicants, and blood tests for residence visa renewals.

The test facility will be available to employees of all companies operating in Jafza throughout the week from 8:30 am to 5pm, except Fridays.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Fatma Salem said:

"Jafza continuously strives to provide the best possible services to its customers. By partnering with Cedars, we have brought the visa medical checkups, a regular and vital requirement of companies literally to their doorstep, within Jebel Ali Free Zone". This service will save lots of time and efforts for employees seeking to conduct the medical tests required for new or renewal of residence and employment visas,".


The agreement ensures that the process will be smooth and well organized.

It states that for new visa medical checkups or for renewals, Jafza will prepare lists of persons going for medical tests and send them a day in advance to Cedars

Cedars Jebel Ali International Hospital is situated right outside one of the main entrances of Jebel Ali Free Zone.

Dr. Adnan Kaddaha said: "Cedars has always partnered with Jebel Ali Free Zone on various levels, whether it is medical checkups or tests for companies' staff in the free zone, or for Jafza's own employees. Now we are proud to take this partnership to a new level by offering professional visa medical services to Jafza companies. The hospital will work in close co-operation with the Jafza management to avoid wasted man hours".

Jafza currently has over 6,000 companies operating within the zone, and one in seven people working in Dubai are employees at a company in Jafza.
