Drainage projects worth Dhs555m for Al Barsha and Al Khawaneej approved

Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and Chairman of Dubai Municipality, has approved two projects worth Dhs555.85m to set up sewage network lines in Al Barsha 1 and Al Khawaneej areas.
The first project, at an overall cost of Dhs258.5m, will serve the south of Al Barsha 1 area and will involve major sewage and storm-water lines and house connections.
The second project, at an overall cost of Dhs297.28, will serve Al Khawaneej area and will involve major sewage and storm-water lines and house connections.
In another development, Dubai Municipality has already begun construction of a Dhs55m drainage network for Al Nahda and Al Mamzar area.
The project is covering a total area of 328 hectors and will involve sewage connections to 250 houses and other buildings as well as storm-water network for the entire area.
