  • PRESS RELEASE

SNASCO, one of the region's leading real estate developers, will be sponsoring the UAE Disabled Sports Federation through which 19 disabled UAE athletes will be competing in the 2008 Summer Paralympics Games in Beijing.

SNASCO regularly provides material and financial support to humanitarian efforts in a variety of areas, including education, care for the disabled, and others, which keep in line with the company's philosophy of enabling all members of society to fulfill their potential.

Mr Saleh Al Sorayai, Chairman of SNASCO, says of the firm's involvement in social programs, "Our support of the communities in which we work stems from our belief that buildings do not make communities, people do, and the projects we develop are only as good as they are able to serve the communities that live and operate in them. This has been one of our core values since our establishment, and we stand by it".

The UAE Disabled Sports Federation was established in 1996 to facilitate accessibility for disabled sportsmen and women to adequate training and training facilities, and to assist in the organization and logistics of these athletes' participation in local, regional and international sports tournaments.

The 19 UAE Paralympics team members destined for the Beijing games this year are members of the federation who have excelled in their respective events and qualified to compete against the world's best at this year's Summer Paralympics Games.

Says Saleh Al Sorayai, "One cannot help but be humbled by the determination and tenacity of these remarkable men and women who overcome their physical limitations and achieve success in spite of the odds. SNASCO is proud to sponsor the UAE's Paralympics team, and wish each and every one of our athletes all the best at the Games".
