The executive cruise sailed in 3 days ago with 1297 passengers on board including 579 crew members, mostly from America at Dubai Cruise Terminal in Port Rashid Complex.

The passengers and crew members were accorded a traditional Arabian welcome at the state-of-the-art terminal, operated by the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).

The cruise that docks in Dubai leaves the passengers here to exchange with others as most of them make one way through air.

More than 90 % passengers were exchanged at Dubai where 649 cruise passengers left home by air and they were replaced by 768 passengers.

According to Mr. Awadh S. Alketbi, Executive Director Cruise Terminal, the ship-shaped cruise terminal measures 3300 square meters and is able to accommodate two ships simultaneously on a 335-metre quay.

He said the first cruise ship was launched in 1995 and first visit by any cruise ship was made in 1998.

DTCM in collaboration with SNTTA, Travel Agents in UAE operate tours to different tourists' attractions in Dubai including Hotels, Gold Souk, Shopping Malls. The passengers of Crystal Symphony also visited other emirates like Sharjah, Fujairah, RAS and Al Ain city.
