Mubarak and Brother Property and Financial Investments (MBI), is a major investment company with key stakes in real estate and construction, infrastructure and industrial ventures.

Opening on 13 May at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, the second edition of the international property investment and development event will run until 15 May, bringing together regional and international investors, architects and designers, property developers, governmental authorities, and senior executives involved in the design and construction of public and private property developments.

Scheduled for completion in 2010, Deerfields Town Square is set to offer tenants, residents and shoppers a holistic experience in entertainment, living, working, and shopping - all out of a single community district.

Nestled in Al Bahia area amidst new developments in Abu Dhabi such as Al Raha Beach, Yas Island, and Khalifa A and B Cities, Deerfields Town Square will offer unique accessibility with its location near the Abu Dhabi International Airport, close to Abu Dhabi's largest entertainment park - Warner Brothers, and Formula 1 Race Track, and on the main Abu Dhabi - Dubai highway.

Mohammed Al Haj, CEO of MBI, said

'Deerfields Town Square is MBI's first landmark project in Abu Dhabi. The mixed use community development will add a distinctive architectural element to the UAE retail sector, diversifying its overall portfolio.

Packaged as an inspirational destination rather than a multi-use real estate offering, Deerfields Town Square aims to craft an ideal blend of high-demand retail offerings with an elegant layout and expansive landscaping.'

Reflecting classic Victorian architecture, the project will feature retail, commercial, residential and hospitality components and sprawl over 840,000 sq metres of land, boasting a total build up area of 3.2 million sq feet.

Banu Tas, General Manager of Deerfields Town Square Said: 'Deerfields Town Square will evolve as an exclusive destination that will merge the alluring charm of the glorious past and the glamour of new age living. Its architectural design will evoke timeless elegance and stylish appeal, offering year-round 'quality family time' to Abu Dhabi's close knit communities and tourists.'

The project will include a mall accommodating over 200 retailers, and a gamut of anchor shops, stand alone retail boxes, food courts, casual and fine dining restaurants and coffee shops, hyper market, and a 12-screen multiplex. The development will also comprise a hotel, offices, serviced and residential apartments, and a one-of-its-kind bird conservatory.
