Omantel announces appointment of senior management for new integrated organization

Omantel and Oman Mobile are currently in the process of being integrated into a combined, single organization that will offer Fixed, Mobile and Data services to both individual consumers and businesses in Oman.

Dr. Mohammed Al Wohaibi has been appointed as CEO of the new entity. Dr. Amer Al Rawas who has been appointed as CCO of the new entity will continue to serve in his role as the Managing Director of Oman Mobile.

In addition, the Board has endorsed the appointment of 12 other senior executives to lead the various business and functional units of the new organization.

According to the Chairman, H.E. Sultan Al Harthi; "This is an important development for Omantel and conforms to the directives of the ministerial committee established to improve the performance of Omantel group.

The appointment of Dr. Mohammed Al Wohaibi, Dr. Amer Al Rawas and the senior executives ensures that Omantel's future is in the hands of a very strong, experienced and skilled leadership team.

The Board has complete confidence that this leadership team l will successfully lead the organization in the evolving competitive environment and deliver superior shareholder value."
