Unprecedented municipal presence at Cityscape exhibition

Following its 5 year strategy launch, which took place in Abu Dhabi on the 5th of May, the newly formed Department of Municipal Affairs, Abu Dhabi is pleased to support the prestigious Cityscape Abu Dhabi Exhibition, as Associate Sponsor.
Dr. Abdullah Ghareeb, Executive Director of Property Management, explains, "The DMA is the specialized regulatory body that has been overseeing and centralizing the real estate and property sector within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and ensures full transparency by public planners and private real estate developers to enable integrated planning, to take place in the provision of infrastructure and municipal services, while integrating safety standards."
Dr. Ghareeb added, "The Department of Municipal Affairs is currently taking on the challenge of resolving the housing problems faced in the Emirate and to outline new regulations for a more open and transparent real estate sector, which will eventually attract more real estate investments. From Cityscape 2008, we take off with the three municipalities with a brand new educational campaign on the new strategic role of the Department of Municipal Affairs, Abu Dhabi."
Dr. Ghareeb will also present a workshop on 'Enhancing Property Laws', which is due on Wednesday the 14th of May at 11:15am.
Upon conclusion of the CityScape Abu Dhabi Exhibition, Dr. Ghareeb on behalf of the Department of Municipal Affairs will be awarding a developer with the 'Corporate Social Responsibility Award', with regards to its projects' surrounding environment.
