UAE unveils new convention centre

The Abu Dhabi government yesterday unveiled a Dhs3.5bn ($954m) convention centre in Al Ain that is aimed at boosting the city's exhibition and convention business, reported Gulf News. The Al Ain Convention Centre, which will be located in Al Khubaisi, has a gross area of 275,000 square metres, of which 230,000 square metres are assigned for investors. The centre will include a hotel and a modern conference centre at a cost of Dh387 million.
