Batelco to invest $1bn in Saudi

Batelco (Bahrain Telecommunications Company) plans to invest $1bn in the Saudi market as part of a strategy to raise revenue by boosting its overseas operations, reported Arab News. The company is also seeking permission for an IPO and intends to list 25% of its shares on the Saudi bourse, Peter Kaliaropoulos, CEO of Batelco, said during the company's quarterly media briefing.
