RTA starts issuing e-NOCs

Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) announced that the system of Electronic No Objection Certificates (e-NOC) is being transferred from Dubai Municipality to the RTA.

The Authority called upon all concerned clients to visit its website (www.rta.ae) to submit their applications and follow up their transactions on line.

The step aims to consolidate the issuance of e-NOCs in one source and provide better platform to serve clientele.

Engineer Maitha bin Adi, CEO of RTA Traffic & Roads Agency, said that the new procedure, which stated of Sunday 11 May 2008, principally aims to combine the issuance of the e-NOCs in one place. It also reflects the intention of the RTA to widen the range of services provided, and save the time & effort of customers.

"Through assuming the responsibility of issuing e-NOCs, RTA is aspiring to achieve better coordination level of project services in the emirate, and uplift the standard of services rendered to strategic partners in both public & private sectors" said bin Adai.

She further commented: "RTA will seek to expand the scope of e-NOCs system in future through adding new package of services in a bid to raise the bar of performance & service levels. This will ensure smooth interaction between the RTA & clients toward achieving excellence and simplifying procedural steps of transactions".

Bin Adai praised the ongoing cooperation & coordination between the RTA and Dubai Municipality. She stressed that both parties are keen to widen the scope of lasting mutual relationships to serve all members of the community, and contribute to the massive development witnessed by the emirate. "This solid cooperation base will bring mutual benefits, and enhance the drive to realize the respective vision of both parties. It is viewed as a value added to the efforts aiming to improve the performance, simplify procedures, upgrade customer service, and enhance the communication & interaction between both parties towards serving their joint interests; which will ultimately serve the interest of Dubai'' she added.

CEO of Traffic and Roads Agency clarified that "RTA has simplified the procedure of the system such that the user has only to enter the same User Name previously used by customers when the system was supervised by Dubai Municipality. However, a new Password will be communicated to each client by e-mail. If no password is received or clients have any queries, they can report to Customer Service Center at the Head Office of the RTA, at Umm Al Remool, Dubai, or contact the Call Center at 8009090"

She urged companies engaged in projects construction, property developers, contractors, consultants and all concerned clients to cooperate with the RTA, and comply with the regulations provided for in the permits issued to them, so as to maintain safety standards & enhance aesthetic values of the emirate.

The services provided under the E-NOCs System include extension of water, electricity, sewage, irrigation, communication & cooling lines. They also cover a range of services related to projects under design or construction, support for buildings, providing alternative links, digging road ducts, dewatering processes, requesting information, entry & exit points, ads and other services within the right of way.
