The Show was organized by IndiaProperty.com, India's No 1 property portal, and was held at Hotel Crowne Plaza, Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai. The Show featured over 100 properties from all parts of India.
'I came to visit the Show on day one, liked one of the properties, and returned the next day to book it,' was the response of an enthusiastic customer. She and her family were hunting for a suitable property in Kerala, the southern Indian state - and in fact even physically went there looking for it. Ironically, she found the right property here in Dubai! 'Great variety, informed and patient salespeople who explain everything in detail and a very professional ambience - all helped us decide on the property we wanted. I wish we had more shows like this so that people in the Gulf know what's happening in India.'
And she's not alone. There were around 5000 serious customers who thronged the Show, found what they wanted. Said Mr Murugavel J, Founder & CEO, Consim Info Pvt Ltd, the holding company of IndiaProperty.com: 'NRIs in the UAE are an established, affluent community, respected for their hard work and professionalism. Over 40% of visitors to IndiaProperty.com are NRIs from the UAE, looking for properties in India - in preparation for their return to India at some point in their lives. India Property Show offered them the ideal platform to interact with the top builders in their respective region and enabled them to get a feel of the properties first hand.'
'We wanted to create an environment that meets customer needs on the one hand and developer requirements on the other - and we succeeded in achieving both at the India Property Show,' said Mr P Gopalakrishnan, Chief Marketing Officer, Consim Info Pvt Ltd. 'And now, encouraged by the Dubai example, we are taking the Show to other Indian Diaspora markets like Singapore, USA and UK in the near future to duplicate the success.'
Indeed, the unprecedented customer turnout brought great cheer to the participating developers. 'I would say, up to 99% of visitors are positive customers,' enthused the representative of DS Properties. 'More than 80% (come back for) further bookings.' And what did he think of the Show? 'It's excellent! I'm very happy to be participating in this exhibition - this is day two and I already have almost 30 bookings worth crores.' And would he come back for more at the upcoming India Property Show in Singapore? 'Of course!'
Anna Properties felt that 'the crowds were far more than expected'. Their representative is not only happy about the good response and conversion rate, he's 'impressed with the arrangements, especially the promotion and advertising. And yes, we are coming to the Singapore fair!' he concluded.
In fact, practically every participating company is impressed with the professional way the Show was organized. 'It was a grand opening ceremony and the mileage it got also benefited us. It's a good show, the response has been encouraging and we're very happy,' said an official from RCC Builders.
Both Shriram Builders, Coimbatore and Vishaal Promoters were satisfied with the way customers turned out for the Show. 'We're especially happy with the quality of customers,' said a senior executive from Vishaal Promoters. 'Yes, it's definitely a good show,' opined the representative of Shriram Builders.
At the Exhibition, Sheikh Abdul Aziz Nuaimi launched the India property magazine, from the company, titled India Property Times 2008. With a controlled circulation of over 50,000 copies every month, the objective is to offer the core audiences to holistically leverage three different and vital consumption touch points - Online, Print & Offline effectively. These confluence of these different mediums makes the property space vibrant and of high interest for the builders and the NRI buyers.
Bottomline: Customers and developers interacted, business worth crores transacted. India Property Show was a resounding success. Its organizer, IndiaProperty.com, is a division of BharatMatrimony.com, India's biggest online matrimonial service provider with more than 10 million members.
