The index, is gearing up to provide a new service to cater to the growing demands for industry information in the Arabic language.
The Arabic website will be launched to meet the needs of Arabic media, visitors and investors, following the great exposure gained by the English version of the groundbreaking website, which has attracted 6000 visitors per day since the first day of operation, and currently receives 483.000 hits per month.
The participation of the Index at Cityscape follows on the heels of an agreement between Al Mazaya Real Estate Development Co., owner of the Al Mazaya Property Index and the Cityscape Market Intelligence Service (CMIS), whereby the latter has exclusive rights to publish the monthly index report on the Cityscape MIS online portal.
The agreement provides for exchange of information, reports, various real estate data and expertise between the two parties. The agreement grants the index the right to present at all Cityscape events worldwide.
SPICA, the web hosting service provider for the index will also host the Arabic version, which will allow Arabic investors to browse the latest news, reports, data and statistics on the regional property market in their mother tongue.
Commenting on the Index's participation at Cityscape, Eng. Salwa Malhas, Senior Vice President for Business Development and Marketing at Al Mazaya Holding, said that Cityscape Abu Dhabi derives a great importance from the ongoing real estate boom in the UAE's capital and the mega projects launched there.
Abu Dhabi has a unique culture that is preserved by the current and future projects. The emirate has positioned itself as a world class tourist destination, and is taking serious steps toward creating a sustainable basis for tourist growth by maintaining its heritage and historical attractions, despite the current real estate and construction boom in the UAE's largest emirate.
Al Mazaya Property Index will take part in Cityscape Abu Dhabi at a time of exceptional growth in the real estate boom, in terms of the quality and quantity of investments in the UAE's capital.
This growth is expected to continue for decades, due to the attractive real estate investments in the emirate, based on an investor-friendly legal infrastructure and fuelled by surplus petrodollar revenues, the diverse economy and the unprecedented influx of direct foreign investment into the emirate.
'We are keen to provide property developers, investors and specialists with all the latest news, articles, reports, data and research through our participation in the various Cityscape events worldwide, and to give an accurate reflection of market facts, enabling investors to invest their money in the right sector and at the right time,' Malhas added.
Malhas explained that the purpose of Al Mazaya is to focus on trends in the property sectors in each GCC country, but it was noted later that the movement in each region and city inside each country also needs to be monitored.
Therefore, the index is currently working on these regions, and the addition of this service will be announced in the near future.
She said that it is important to provide an Arabic version of the website, in order to enable larger market segments to access the services provided by the Index.
The Index provides opportunities to identify rises in each property sector, as well as access to information with regard to gains achieved for all transactions concluded in a given period of time.
It also gives additional information sourced from an extensive, regularly-updated database, in order to help investors choose the most lucrative direction for their investment in a simple and reliable manner, in addition to identifying dominant property sectors and the most attractive ones for surplus liquidity.
