- PRESS RELEASE
'Technology will improve your business', is the message from the Supreme Council of Communication and Technology (ictQATAR) to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the run-up to the inaugural Business Connect seminar on 25th May, 2008.
ictQATAR's Enterprise Development Manager, Ali Al Khulaifi, emphasized that integrating ICT into business practices is central to maximizing competitiveness and productivity.
"When businesses use technology it optimizes their operating performance, captures all the opportunities available and can make their business regional, not just local," he said.
ictQATAR has adopted the theme 'Technology and SMEs in Qatar: Opportunities and Challenges' for the kick-off seminar to highlight how SME Managers can incorporate ICT into business processes and discuss any barriers that are preventing this.
The seminar will also include a keynote address from Dr. Hasham Hussein, Head of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization - Investment and Technology Promotion Office (UNIDO-ITPO), an interactive panel discussion and local case studies.
