Media Agency Middle East enhances its senior management team in Middle East

Media Agency Middle East (MAME), has enhanced its core team with two new appointments in their senior management.

Mr. Iyer Shekhar has been appointed the Chief Operating Officer and Ms. Alpana Chatterji Nambiar have joined MAME as Executive Vice President.

MAME is a media concessionaire and communications agency, that has been operating for two years in Dubai, with branches in Satwa and Sheikh Zayed Road.

Mr. Iyer Shekhar, a senior media professional, comes with a rich experience of 17 years in the field of Media Sales and Marketing, in India and Dubai. In his previous assignment as Sr. Vice President, Sales, Zee Telefilms International Ltd./ Real Media FZ LLC was responsible for driving Media sales and marketing initiatives for the Group throughout the Middle East.

Shekhar has been responsible for the launch of first ever Arabic, Hindi and English multi-language youth music channel in the Middle East. Prior to his stint at Zee he was working with Integrated Advertising Services LLC, as Director Sales & Marketing, which is the largest media marketing house in Dubai. Before coming to Dubai, Shekhar was working with the Indian Express Group, Mumbai as the Chief Sales Manager. Academically, Shekhar has done his B.A Honours in Philosophy and MBA in Marketing from Mumbai University.

Ms. Alpana Chatterjee Nambiar, a professional with an aptitude for sales and marketing, comes with an 8 year experience in Middle East and India. Before taking on the mantle at MAME, Alpana was working with Integrated Advertising Services FZ LLC, as Vice President Sales & Marketing, since 2003.

She was responsible to manage a portfolio of some of the leading International magazines like Conde Nast Traveller, Vogue, Vanity Fair, Times of India, Business World to name a few. She has successfully spearheaded the growth in business by 25% on a year on year basis. Before coming to Dubai, she was working as Assistant Advertising Manager with Apex Publications, Oman, one of the largest publishing media house in Muscat. Alpana started her career as an officer at Times of India group, handling Display, FMCG category. Academically, Alpana has done her MBA, from Sydenham Institute of Management, Mumbai.
