Canvas Education launches its fourth seminar in the UAE, Picasso's Century

After the successful launch of the Canvas Education seminars in January, Canvas Education in association with Christie's, is proud to announce its fourth art seminar, Picasso's Century.

Offering an enlightening look into the life of the most celebrated artist of the twentieth century, this one-day course will take place at Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi on May 19, 2008 and is kindly supported by the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage and Sorouh.

Picasso's Century' will provide a window into the life of one of the most enigmatic and celebrated artists of the last century. From the early Blue and Pink periods to his most notable work from the Cubist movement, some of the world's most influential curators will offer an insider's look at the development of a genius and his current internationally-renowned collections and exhibitions. Market experts will also substantiate his record-breaking prices.

The seminar will be divided into six modules conducted by Gary Tinterow from The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Dominique Dupuis-Labbe of The Direction of Museums of France, Isabelle de la Bruyere of Christie's and Nicolaj van Der Meulen from The Basel School of Design.
