Heidelberg Middle East takes part in the first environmental seminar for the UAE printing Industry

Heidelberg Middle East participated as a sponsor and speaker in the first environmental seminar organized by Technotrans Middle East for the UAE printing industry with a theme of eco-friendly technology; going green.

The seminar took place at the Radisson SAS Hotel in the Dubai Media City.

Mazen Wafic El-Tibi, Deputy GM/Sales & Marketing Director of Heidelberg Middle East was one of the speakers highlighting the "Cost saving in print with a better quality by being environmentally friendly at the same time" in the assembly of heavyweight printers gathered in the ballroom.

Other speakers were from technotrans, Giffin Graphics, ColdJet, Lloyd's Registered Quality Assurance & the Dubai Chamber - Centre for Responsible Business.

Mr. El-Tibi's presentation emphasized on the environmental impact of a sheetfed press and how Heidelberg could significantly reduce VOC & CO2 emissions, ink, energy, paper, Chemicals and water wastage by the latest generation of sheetfed presses. "To reduce waste, Heidelberg offers solution that start in the prepress and end by the finished print product" El-Tibi said.

The seminar ended by Niels Siegel of Technotrans Middle East handing over a crystal globe to each partner and presenter of this event. "The World is in our hand! This event is a start of a vision to help understand that implementing certain technologies can bring return on investment in environment-related measures today".
