The Al Ain Convention Centre is being designed by an international team of master-planners, architects and engineers to create a thriving and desirable destination which is based on the extremely successful Capital Centre business development model.
The strategically-located clusters are earmarked for the mixed-use development of hotels, residential and commercial low-rise towers, in a fully integrated development around the new convention centre/ hotel and cultural centre.
Simon Horgan, ADNEC CEO said: 'This development has been designed for the community and features significant open spaces which are all connected by walkways and usable areas that are free of cars. Considerable thought has been given to creating a natural and sustainable environment that people will enjoy using.'
Ideally located near the municipality area of the city, Al Ain's first development of this kind focusing on convention development will create a vibrant business and lifestyle destination for residents and visitors alike. At the heart of this project will be a Dhs387m ($105m) state-of-the-art conference centre & hotel that will be owned by ADNEC. The conference centre & hotel will act as the anchor for rest of the development - attracting businesses, event organisers, delegates and tourists from all over the region, thus driving the Al Ain Convention Centre's tremendous investment potential.
The development of Al Ain is a key objective for the Abu Dhabi Government who wish to see it become a leading cultural and commercial destination in the UAE. It is believed that this exciting development will serve to stimulate economic growth as well as business and cultural tourism.
Now entering its final master planning stage, the development displayed at Cityscape provides a vision of what the completed project may look like.
Work is scheduled to begin on the Al Ain Convention Centre later this year.
