- PRESS RELEASE
The Dubai Congress on Anti-Aging and Aesthetic Medicine will be held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre from 7-9 November.
The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine has a membership of more than 20,000 physicians and scientists from 90 countries, and has pioneered the establishment of anti-aging medicine as a recognised medical speciality.
As well as managing 13 anti-aging events worldwide, Tarsus owns the internationally-renowned Dubai Air Show.
The premiere Dubai Congress will join an already established network of anti-aging events including Las Vegas, Singapore, Tokyo, Germany, China and Mumbai.
With Dubai's burgeoning healthcare market projected to rise from $3.2bn in 2005 to $11.9bn in 2015, anti-aging medicine will be at the forefront of the services offered by medical practices and clinics throughout the region.
Said Matt Thompson, Project Director, Tarsus: "In 2007, anti-aging was worth $88.9bn worldwide and is one of the biggest market opportunities today. It shows a phenomenal average annual growth rate of 9.5% and is due to rise to $150bn by 2013.
"DCAAAM will be an exceptional event for healthcare professionals to learn more about the latest innovations and treatment solutions to prevent and even reverse the signs of aging and degeneration."
Anti-aging medicine is a serious medical specialty founded on the application of advanced scientific and medical technologies for the early detection, prevention, treatment and reversal of age-related dysfunction, disorders and diseases.
The Dubai congress will bring together more than 70 renowned international speakers who will present the latest scientific research on a wide range of anti-aging topics.
These will include: cosmetic, laser and plastic surgery; aesthetic procedures; bio-identical hormone replacement therapy; medical weight loss and nutrition; mesotherapy and facial rejuvenation; and stem cell therapies and treatment.
A comprehensive exhibition will be held alongside the conference devoted to showcasing the latest industry-related products, services and treatments.
The Arabian Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (Arabian A4M) was recently formed under the A4M umbrella to bring anti-aging medicine to the Arab world.
Its chairman Dr Ali Mohamed MD is a pioneer in the fields of pain and age management. He said: "The goal of anti-aging medicine is not merely to prolong the total years of an individual's life, but to ensure an improved quality. The conference will highlight all aspects of this.
"The use of nutrition, bio-identical hormone replacement therapy and advanced technologies including stem-cell research, nanotechnology and gene therapy have been proven to assist and even prevent serious diseases such as arthritis, Alzheimer's, diabetes and cardiovascular disease."
